Ericeira is a small town, so specialist care has traditionally meant a trip to Mafra or Lisbon. That is slowly changing as the resident population grows.

Emergencies - 112 is the emergency number across Portugal, and operators generally speak English. The nearest hospital with an emergency department is in Mafra, about 15 minutes by car.
The health centre - Ericeira has a Centro de Saúde for routine public care. If you are a resident with a número de utente you can register there; expect to book ahead for anything non-urgent.
Pharmacies - Portuguese pharmacists handle a lot that would need a doctor elsewhere, and can advise on minor complaints directly. Pharmacies rotate an on-call night service, posted on the door of each one.
Visitors - an EHIC or GHIC card covers state care for EU and UK visitors on the same terms as residents. Private clinics are the faster route if you would rather not wait, and most will see you without a referral.
