Vila Galé is Portugal's biggest hotel chain, and their Ericeira property delivers exactly what you'd expect - reliable 4-star comfort without surprises. It's not boutique, it's not Instagram-bait, but it's consistently well-run and offers amenities that smaller hotels can't match.

The pool area is large and well-maintained, with sun loungers and a pool bar. There's also a spa with sauna, Turkish bath, and treatment rooms - useful on those rare rainy Ericeira days or after a long surf session.

The Buffet do Mar restaurant focuses on Portuguese cuisine with a seafood emphasis. It's buffet-style for breakfast (generous and well-stocked) and à la carte for dinner. Not the best restaurant in Ericeira, but convenient when you don't want to venture out.

Conference and event facilities make this the default choice for business events in the Ericeira area. Multiple meeting rooms with AV equipment and catering. If you're organizing a team retreat or workshop, this is probably where you'll end up.

The location is slightly north of the town center - a 10-minute walk to the main square, or a quick drive. Free parking is a plus, especially in summer when town parking gets competitive.
