A free day of culture, history and survival!
On 23 May, the Concelho de Mafra offers two free family programmes. At 15:00, storyteller António Fontinha and local potters will share traditional tales beside the gate of the Parque de Campismo do Sobreiro. Later, the Torreão Sul of the Real Edifício de Mafra hosts a session on survival during the Invasões Francesas, featuring the historical re-enactment group Associação 13 de Setembro. In partnership with the Serviço Municipal de Proteção Civil, participants will also learn how to assemble a modern emergency kit for fires and power cuts. Places are limited; advance booking is required.
