Alert | Inorganic particles appear on beaches in Torres Vedras and Mafra
The Torres Vedras Municipal Council reported that on 24 July small dark clusters of inorganic particles, sometimes mixed with algae, appeared on several beaches in Torres Vedras and Mafra.
The incident is being monitored by the Port Captaincies of Peniche and Cascais, the Portuguese Environment Agency, health authorities and both municipalities. Residents are advised to report any sightings of the clusters.
