Building tomorrow: Mafra unites technicians and community to design the municipality's future
The Palácio dos Marqueses hosted two participatory sessions on the future of Mafra, drawing about 40 representatives from local businesses, associations, Juntas de Freguesia, and technicians from Tratolixo, ICNF, A2S and Biosphere Portugal.
The workshops formed part of the Avaliação Ambiental Estratégica for the 2.ª Revisão do Plano Diretor Municipal. Participants identified needs, potentials and priorities to guide the plan toward sustainable, resilient development through 2050. Their input will shape the Quadro de Avaliação Estratégica and support a transparent, inclusive planning process for the next 20 to 30 years.
