CPCJ de Mafra registered only this year, 483 child protection cases
The CPCJ de Mafra opened 858 child protection cases in 2025. From January to 23 June 2026, the commission registered 483 new processes.
GNR, schools, the Ministério Público and anonymous reports were the main sources of referrals. The commission noted that school overcrowding creates instability and fuels conflicts among young people, while multicultural challenges include language barriers and differing educational standards.
