Detained for thefts in homes and places of worship in Mafra
A man was arrested in Ericeira after GNR officers caught him breaking into a wooden alms box inside a church and taking the money. The arrest followed several reports of thefts from homes and chapels in the area.
The suspect, linked to other thefts, was charged and the case sent to the Tribunal Judicial de Mafra. GNR reminded residents to report suspicious activity to help prevent crime.
