Ericeira promotes visits to the centenary Fonte do Cabo Mine
Ericeira is now offering guided visits to the Mina da Fonte do Cabo. The 15th-century fountain, rebuilt in 1829, stands at the southern entrance of the town and draws its water through a 100-metre tunnel from the mine.
Visits must be booked in advance at the Junta de Freguesia da Ericeira on weekdays between 9:00 and 17:00. A sign at the fountain advises against drinking the water.
