Image of the day | When the world of the “2CVs” invaded Mafra
From 26 to 31 July 2017, Ericeira and Mafra hosted the 22nd World Meeting of Citroën 2CV Friends. The event gathered about 1,350 Citroën 2CV cars and 1,800 participants from 26 countries, including Israel, France, the United States, Norway and New Zealand.
The oldest 2CV in the world (1952) and the newest (1990) were both Portuguese and took part. A highlight was the caravan drive from Ericeira to Mafra, with around 250 cars representing every country present. The images show the 2CVs at the Palácio Nacional de Mafra.
