Listening to the seabed: innovative technology presented in Ericeira
An innovative ocean-monitoring platform was presented at the Porto de Pesca da Ericeira. The Hydrotwin system uses artificial intelligence, acoustic sensors and smart buoys to capture and stream real-time underwater sounds from any location worldwide.
Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea Salvador Malheiro attended the launch with Câmara Municipal de Mafra President Hugo Moreira Luís and blueOASIS CEO Guilherme Beleza Vaz. The Portuguese startup’s technology supports marine-biodiversity monitoring, environmental research and the goals of the Estratégia Nacional para o Mar 2021-2030.
