São Lourenço Beach: The sea is for everyone!
São Lourenço Beach in Santo Isidoro hosted the raising of the “Praia Acessível, Praia para Todos!” flag. The beach won the “Praia + Acessível 2025” award for coastal beaches. The ceremony was organised by Câmara Municipal de Mafra, Instituto para os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência, Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente and Turismo de Portugal.
The event also raised the “Azulita sobre Rodas” flag, created by users of APERCIM’s recycling room. Speakers included Câmara de Mafra President Hugo Moreira Luís, Teresa Álvares of the Região Hidrográfica do Tejo e Oeste, and Secretary of State Clara Marques Mendes.
