Weather forecast – Week: August 31 to September 6, 2026
The IPMA forecasts a return to hot, dry weather across Portugal from August 31 to September 6, 2026, after recent rain. Maximum temperatures will rise from 20-35°C early in the week to 30-40°C from mid-week, while coastal areas stay between 25-30°C.
Minimum temperatures will climb from 10-16°C to 16-22°C. Tropical nights above 20°C are expected along the southern Algarve coast, near the Spanish border, and in the Lisbon region. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from nortada on the western coast to easterly from mid-week.
