Prim is Ericeira's most refined dining experience - a modern Mediterranean restaurant where the kitchen takes seasonal, local ingredients and elevates them into something genuinely exciting. It's not fine dining in the stuffy sense, but the food here is on another level compared to most of Ericeira's casual restaurants.

The menu changes seasonally and is built around what's available from local producers and the fishing boats. Expect creative preparations of Atlantic fish, Portuguese cheeses, foraged herbs, and produce from nearby farms. The dishes are beautifully plated without being precious about it.

The natural wine list is one of the best in the Ericeira area. Small Portuguese producers, organic and biodynamic wines, and a few international bottles that complement the food perfectly. The staff can guide you through the list with genuine expertise.

The space is warm and contemporary - exposed stone walls, warm lighting, and a design that feels elevated but relaxed. It's the kind of restaurant where you dress up slightly but no one judges if you come in after a surf.

Prim works best for a special dinner - a date night, a celebration, or just one of those evenings where you want to eat really well. Book ahead, especially on weekends and in summer. The tasting menu, when available, is the way to go.
