Rapture Surf Camp Ericeira

Rapture is the surf camp you choose when you're serious about improving. While other camps balance surf with social activities, Rapture puts progression front and center. Small group sizes, detailed video analysis, and coaches who push you to surf beyond your comfort zone.

The camp is based near Foz do Lizandro, giving easy access to both the beginner-friendly beach break and the more challenging reef breaks further north. Coaches assess conditions daily and take you to the break that best matches both the swell and your development goals.

Video coaching is central to the method. Every session is filmed, and the afternoon debrief breaks down your technique frame by frame. It's humbling but effective - seeing yourself surf from the outside accelerates learning dramatically.

Surf-specific fitness sessions complement the water time. Paddling strength, pop-up drills, and flexibility work that directly translates to better surfing. These sessions happen on flat days or as supplements to surf coaching.

Accommodation is comfortable but no-frills - the investment goes into coaching quality, not marble bathrooms. Shared rooms, communal spaces, and a kitchen. Breakfast is included; other meals are self-catered or eaten out.

The crowd is more focused than a typical surf camp - people come here to work on their surfing, not just have a holiday that includes surfing. Ages range from early-20s to 40s, with a mix of beginners wanting solid foundations and intermediates chasing the next level.
