Champions found at the closing of the National Hopeful Surf Championship / Rip Curl GromSearch 2026
The National Hopeful Surf Championship / Rip Curl GromSearch 2026 concluded on Sunday at Ribeira d’Ilhas. Nauê Brasil won the Sub-12 boys’ final with 18.50 points, while Vasco Leitão, José Maria Antunes, Ana Mel, Vida Mendonça and Nemina Hanssen took the remaining age-group titles.
Kelio Silva, Maria de Brito, Vasco Leitão, Vida Mendonça, José Maria Antunes and Ana Mel were crowned national champions in their respective divisions. The four-day event, hosted by Ericeira Surf Clube and supported by the Câmara Municipal de Mafra and the Federação Portuguesa de Surf, drew hundreds of athletes and spectators to the World Surf Cities Network host town.
