First finalists qualified on the third day of the National Hopefuls Surf Championship / Rip Curl GromSearch 2026: Nauê Brasil scores the event’s first 10 at Ribeira d’Ilhas
Ribeira d’Ilhas hosted the third day of the National Hopefuls Surf Championship / Rip Curl GromSearch 2026 under excellent wave conditions. All Sub-12 boys and girls rounds reached the semi-finals, and the girls’ semi-finals in Sub-14 and Sub-16 were completed, setting the first finalists.
Nauê Brasil posted the event’s first perfect 10 with a series of high-difficulty manoeuvres. Other stand-out performers included João Fontainhas, André Moraes, Luka Tanguay, Yanik Schonweger, Oliver Fleiss, Amina Kailani Last, Ana Mel, Vida Mendonça, Stella Raby, Suri and Sienna Rodrigues, Leonor Vasconcelos and Maria de Brito. Finals are scheduled for Sunday with check-in at 09h15.
