Ericeira hosts Open Water Swimming and Ericeira Paddle Trophy on 15 August
Ericeira will host the Open Water Swimming competition and the Ericeira Paddle Trophy on 15 August. The swimming event starts at 11:00 at Praia dos Pescadores with distances of 100 m, 600 m and 1 200 m. The paddle races begin at 15:00 from Praia de São Lourenço for SUP and from Praia de Ribeira d’Ilhas for Longboard, Surfboard and Bodyboard, both finishing at Praia dos Pescadores.
Registration fees go to the Comissão de Festas de Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem. All finishers receive awards, followed by an after-party and prize ceremony at Kayak Bar. The events are organised by the Comissão de Festas de Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem and Ericeira Surf Clube, with support from Paróquia de São Pedro – Ericeira, Câmara Municipal de Mafra, Junta de Freguesia da Ericeira, Clube Naval da Ericeira, APPER, Bombeiros Voluntários da Ericeira, Kayak Bar and Bera (Ericeira Sea Tours).
