Open Water Swimming and Ericeira Paddle Trophy were a huge success
The Open Water Swimming event and the Ericeira Paddle Trophy took place on the same day, organised jointly by the Comissão de Festas em Honra de Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem, Paróquia de São Pedro da Ericeira and Ericeira Surf Clube. The two competitions attracted more than 170 athletes, families, volunteers and spectators.
In the morning, 127 swimmers from 15 clubs competed in 100 m, 600 m and 1,200 m races at Praia dos Pescadores. In the afternoon, 45 athletes took part in the Ericeira Paddle Trophy, with SUP, Longboard, Shortboard and Bodyboard categories finishing at the same beach. All participants received medals, and the organisers received requests to repeat the events next year.
