ERICEIRA WA’A SURFING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP gathers about 100 athletes from around the world from November 14 to 21
The Ericeira Wa’a Surfing World Championship will bring together 24 teams of four athletes each from Europe, the United States, Hawaii and Brazil between 14 and 21 November. The event marks the first world title in the OC4 canoe-surfing discipline.
The week-long programme includes competitive heats, a film screening, an art exhibition and opening and closing parties at Nortada Tap Room. Free workshops for officials and a press conference will take place before competition begins. The championship is organised by the World Surfing International Association, founded in Ericeira, with support from Turismo de Portugal, Município de Mafra and NORTADA.
