POLITICAL OPINION | Tourism: a wealth that must serve those who live in Mafra

Eduardo Libânio, a CDU municipal deputy, says tourism has boosted jobs and local businesses in Mafra but now threatens residents’ quality of life. He points to rising housing costs, the loss of traditional shops and summer pressure on parking, traffic and services, especially in Ericeira.
