The Garlic Fair is coming
The Garlic Fair returns to Largo de São Sebastião in Ericeira from 24 to 26 July. The event dates back to the 17th century, when it was established by a royal decree in 1673.
Originally known as the Santiago fair, it has evolved over time but continues to focus on the sale of garlic and other traditional regional foods. After moving to the site next to the Ermida following the construction of Parque Urbano de São Sebastião, the fair once again attracts producers from nearby areas and residents stocking their pantries.
