Young people debate the future of the municipality at the Youth Municipal Assembly
About 78 primary and secondary students gathered at the Casa da Juventude for the final session of the 7th Youth Municipal Assembly of Mafra. The event, organised by the Assembleia Municipal in partnership with the Câmara Municipal, encouraged young people to practise participatory citizenship.
Under the theme “Mafra – O que queremos para o nosso Concelho”, pupils discussed mobility, the environment and cultural promotion. Winning proposals were “Sun Ride” from Colégio Verde Água for primary schools and “Depósito inteligente para o lixo reciclável” from Escola Básica e Secundária António Bento Franco – Ericeira for secondary schools.
