87th Volta a Portugal crosses Mafra and imposes traffic restrictions
The 87th Volta a Portugal em Bicicleta starts on 5 August in Lisbon with a 6 km prologue. The race runs until 16 August, covering more than 1,400 km across 71 municipalities.
The first stage on 6 August passes through Mafra between 15:49 and 16:35, entering via Barril and exiting via Cheleiros. Parking is banned on Avenida 25 de Abril from 5 to 6 August, and traffic restrictions apply from 15:00 to 16:30 along the EN 247, EN 116 and N9. Public buses will wait for the peloton, causing minor delays.
