Civil Protection Week brings citizens and civil protection agents closer for a more resilient territory

Civil Protection Week begins on 24 May with the Municipal Firefighters Day, honouring the work of local fire brigades. Throughout the week, crisis communication, land and sea operations, and senior safety will be the main themes.

A professional meeting on emergency communication takes place on 26 May at the Torreão Sul of the Real Edifício de Mafra. The “Sénior Seguro” session follows on 27 May at the Palácio dos Marqueses. Fire drills are scheduled at the Palácio Nacional de Mafra, Boco, Valverde, Pipo, Largo das Ribas/Praia dos Pescadores and Escola Básica Prof. João Dias Agudo – Póvoa da Galega. The programme ends on 30 and 31 May at the Parque Desportivo Municipal de Mafra with demonstrations for children.
