Civil Protection, Health and Education in focus at decentralized Council Meeting
The Câmara Municipal de Mafra approved strategic social investment and infrastructure measures at its ordinary meeting on 24 July 2026, held at the Sporting Clube do Livramento headquarters in the União das Freguesias da Azueira e Sobral da Abelheira.
The decisions cover seven areas: a single 1.5 million euro protocol for the three volunteer fire brigades, 58,000 euros for forest fire teams, funding for aerodrome brigade training, free temporary housing for trainee doctors, a new health university hub with Atlântica, the 2026/2027 school transport network, and progressive tuition discounts at Conservatório D. João V.
