Council meeting approves strategic measures in education, urban planning and sustainability
The Câmara Municipal held a decentralized meeting at the Sala Multiusos do Parque Urbano da Póvoa da Galega. Councillors approved the award of Estatuto de Utilidade Pública to Grupo Recreativo Gonçalvinhense and set fees for the 14th Festival do Pão. They also authorised municipal spaces and grants for social, sports and cultural events.
Bids will open for music-study scholarships for young people aged 10-15, and the participation fee for the “Férias (Cri)Ativas” summer programme was updated. The council agreed to send the Casal da Junceira tourism project to external review and joined Lisboa E-Nova to advance energy efficiency and decarbonisation goals.
Ticket prices for the Piscinas Exteriores do Parque Desportivo Municipal de Mafra were set, and a public-consultation process for new school-canteen rules was launched. Reports from municipal companies were presented, and the circular-economy partnership with A2S was amended.
