Council meeting approves measures for the local economy and public space
The Câmara Municipal de Mafra approved new measures on 10 July covering public-space management, local-economy support and sustainability.
Councilors opened a public-consultation process to draft rules for water-sports schools and operators on the municipality’s beaches. They also set tuition fees for the Conservatório D. João V for the 2026/2027 school year, approved the allocation of 18 stalls at the Mercado Municipal de Mafra for local producers, and endorsed a plan to reinstall urban furniture and bus shelters. In addition, the council awarded a cleaning-services contract for health units and launched a consultation on the “Hortas Urbanas do Município de Mafra” pilot project at Quinta das Pevides.
