Ericeira Port closed due to worsening sea conditions
The fishing port of Ericeira was closed on Sunday, 8 November, by order of the Capitania do Porto de Cascais. Entry and exit of vessels were banned after forecasts showed southwest waves up to 4.8 metres and southeast winds reaching 35 knots.
The closure coincides with a yellow weather warning issued by the IPMA for the Lisbon district, covering heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusts up to 75 km/h until 06:00 on Monday. A separate yellow warning for rough seas runs from Monday evening to Tuesday afternoon, with waves of four to five metres expected.
