Repair of the safety net on the cliff at Praia do Sul
Repair work on the safety net at Praia do Sul began today. The dynamic barrier, damaged by rockfalls last winter, is being fixed in coordination with the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente. Materials, some imported, are now available and the job should last about two weeks.
The aim is to improve user safety and remove current access limits near the barrier. Praia do Sul stays open during the works, with existing entrances and beach use unchanged. Only the already restricted zone remains closed.
