Algodio Beach Cliff is being intervened
Work has begun to stabilise the cliff at Praia do Algodio in Ericeira. The 180-day project aims to reduce coastal erosion and improve safety for access routes and buildings above and below the cliff.
The €1 million intervention is funded by Portugal 2030 through the PACS programme. It is carried out by the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente, Município de Mafra and Capitania do Porto de Cascais, using resilient infrastructure that blends with the local coastal landscape.
