Mafra | Ribeira d’Ilhas closed due to cliff instability
Ribeira d’Ilhas beach in Mafra has been closed to the public for safety reasons. The decision follows a technical inspection by the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente and the Serviço Municipal de Proteção Civil de Mafra, which identified instability in the cliffs.
The closure was ordered by the Capitania do Porto de Cascais and will remain in place until all safety conditions are restored. Several other beaches in the municipality were already restricted after winter storms.
