Mafra increases financial support for local fire brigades
Mafra Municipality will sign a new cooperation protocol with the volunteer fire brigades of Mafra, Ericeira and Malveira. The agreement sets two annual funding streams: a fixed amount paid after proof of investment and a variable amount paid in twelve monthly instalments.
The protocol takes effect retroactively from 1 January 2026 and runs until 31 December 2026, renewing automatically each year. Associations must keep tax and contribution obligations up to date and hold no debts to the municipality or its entities.
