Mafra reinforces Bathing Season with two Rescue Drones
Mafra is adding two U SAFE rescue drones to its coastal safety setup for the bathing season that begins on 13 June. The remotely operated craft will be stationed at Ribeira d’Ilhas and Foz do Lizandro, the beaches with the highest number of incidents in recent years.
Lifeguards will provide permanent coverage at eight beaches until 13 September. A mobile patrol vehicle with two lifeguards will also operate daily along the coastline from 1 April to 30 October.
